When we planned our journey to India one of things that excited us the most was the idea to be so close to people that are so different from us. This also means that they look different, from the colour of their skin, their traits, and the clothes they wear.

The opposite can either shock or excite you, or maybe even a combination of the two. This is exactly what happened to us.
And in the difference you even manage to find the few elements that you have in common. “Don’t they maybe feel the same things that we do?” We often asked ourselves this question when looking at the people’s expressions, smiles and deep eyes.

We were completely fascinated by this feeling, and taking pictures of the people was one of the things that touched us the most during the whole travel.
In the beginning we were scared, scared to go closer, to zoom, to take pictures of poor people, of women and children. We were surprised instead in seeing that the majority of them was actually happy and even wanted to watch the pictures afterwards.

Plus, they were also attracted to us exactly the same way we were ( “Don’t they maybe feel the same things that we do?”). We were asked thousands times to take selfies with guys, girls, children, grandparents, whole families and groups of friends. We gave each other a real VIP treatment, which resulted in good growth of our self-esteem...and of course in a lot of pictures :)

Holi Festival was a great occasion for that, but everyday we could find a smile, an expression, a situation, that was worth to take back with us.
Here’s a selection of our best portraits, enjoy and feel the Indian energy!
